Brotherhood is too often seen as an asterisk in the historical recounting of their members' other projects. But these guys stand on their own. They were smart and pushed the sound creatively, the wway bands like SS Decontrol or Chain of Strength did.

A collection of deeply rewarding slow-burn doom tracks with sustained grandeur. "Doom" is definitely the operative word when describing Concilium's No Sanctuary because that sense is palpable throughout this release. I would love to see them live.

This album struck a chord that would, for good or bad, should instantly inspire legions of like-minded groups. The riffs are actually memorable, with insane blastbeat drums and an uncanny sense of timing guiding the songs as they charge through one by one. Intoxicated have managed to craft one truly great album in the crossover metal genre that will survive long after the gimmicks are gone.
